Google Play Console - Account Verification

Google Play Console - Account Verification

It is vitally important that you complete the steps below as quickly as possible to make sure your Android App does not fall off the Google Play Store.

About a year ago, Google made some changes to how accounts are verified. Your account was created before the implementation of this new process and you are now being required to adhere to the changes.

First

- locate an email from Google called Verify Your Play Console developer account now from this email address: noreply-play-console@google.com.

Click the button that says Start Verification

You'll be asked to sign in to the Google account that was used to create the Developer Account.

Once you're signed in, click "Get Started".

Next,

It'll ask to create a Payments Profile. This is going to require your DUNS Number. Make sure to enter the number exactly as it's listed from the DUNS Website.

Here's how to find your DUNS Number.
Use this tool to locate yours if not supplied to you already in this email. Below are the instructions to find your business.

  1. Make sure you select "My Company" in the dropdown box., use your legal entity name of the business.
  2. You can use a partial name search to make it easier. Sometimes DUNS may have punctuation that you don't typically use.
  3. Once you locate your business, select "Email Duns Number" and enter your name and email address. All the details required will be in the email you receive from dandb@click.dandb.com. It may appear in your SPAM folder.

Next, you'll be asked to upload some supporting documents for the business and personal documents of (one of) the owner(s).

  1. Some document verifying your legal entity and association to the retail store. For example...
    1. Liquor License
    2. IRS Document
    3. Lease Agreement
    4. Utility Bill
  2. Front and Back clear images of the owner's Drivers License.
    1. Make sure that all corners are visible in the image.
    2. Use a dark background.
    3. Must not be blurry and all text should be legible.
    4. Make sure you enter the personal address that matches the Drivers License you upload on the form following this upload.
THEN YOU ARE ALL DONE!
