TeamViewer Setup



Visit the TeamViewer Website:

Go to the official TeamViewer website by typing "teamviewer.com" into your web browser's address bar.

Navigate to the Free Download Page:

Once on the TeamViewer website, navigate to the "Download" section. You can find this at the top of the page or by scrolling down to locate it.

Select Your Operating System:

TeamViewer is available for various operating systems including Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS. Click on the appropriate download link for your operating system.

Start the Download:

Click on the download link to start the download process. The download should begin automatically, but you may be prompted to confirm the download depending on your browser settings.


Locate the Downloaded File:

Once the download is complete, locate the downloaded file. This is typically found in your browser's download folder unless you specified a different location.


Install TeamViewer:

Double-click on the downloaded file to start the installation process. Follow the on-screen instructions to install TeamViewer on your computer.


Accept License Agreement:

During the installation process, you will likely be presented with a license agreement. Read through the agreement and if you agree to the terms, click on the "Accept" or "Agree" button to proceed with the installation.



Choose Installation Options:

You may be given the option to choose certain installation settings such as the installation directory and whether to create shortcuts. Make your selections and proceed with the installation.

Wait for Installation to Complete:

The installation process may take a few moments to complete. Once it's finished, you should see a confirmation message indicating that TeamViewer has been successfully installed on your computer.


Launch TeamViewer:

After installation, you can launch TeamViewer by locating it in your computer's applications menu or by double-clicking on the desktop shortcut if you chose to create one during installation.


Set Up TeamViewer (Optional):

Depending on your intended use, you may need to set up a TeamViewer account or configure certain settings. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the setup process.


Start Using TeamViewer:

With TeamViewer installed and set up, you can now start using it for remote access, online meetings, file transfers, and more.

The first and most important step to secure unattended access is to disable the random password within the TeamViewer settings. To disable the random password, click Settings ()  Advanced settings  Security  Random password (for spontaneous access)  Choose Disabled (no random password)  Click OK.
