- Create a UPS account at https://www.ups.com/doapp/signup?loc=en_US
- Once the account has been created, go to this page: https://www.ups.com/lasso/login?returnto=https%3a//www.ups.com/upsdeveloperkit/requestaccesskey&reasonCode=-1 and Sign In using the credentials from Step 1
Then, click on Step 4: Request an Access Key

- Fill out the information in the new page
∙ Authenticate account information (using recent invoice or Pickup Postal Code on file with UPS) ∙ Once authentication is completed, you will be brought back to the Request Access Key page
∙ Click on the Request Access Key button at the bottom

- The access key will now be displayed. The access key is 16 characters long and it is alpha-numeric (Example: DD7B8AEWD19F1DE6)

- Send the following fields to your Bottlecapps Rep:
- UPS Account Credentials (Username and Password from Step 1)
- Access key from Step 4 (Example: DD7B8AEWD19F1DE6)
- Account Number/Shipper Number (Example: A2569Y)
You can find your UPS account number, sometimes referred to as the shipper number, in various ways.
- By calling UPS at 1 (800) 742-5877.
- By locating it on paper invoices or electronically for shippers signed up to UPS Billing Center.
- By finding the tracking number of a package that was shipped using your UPS account. Look for the string of six numbers and letters that immediately follow “1Z”—that’s your account number.
