SUBSCRIPTIONS  (aka - Wine Club)

Bottlecapps' Subscriptions feature is akin to a Wine Club whereby customers can pay a subscription fee to have products delivered, ready for pickup, or even shipped directly to them. However, it is not limited to wine only.

NOTE: This feature is available only to stores using STRIPE or WORLD PAY as their payment gateway.

The tab to set up Subscriptions is in the Webconsole (liquorapps.com) on the left side.

Once you click the Subscriptions tab, you can rename it however you see fit in the box at the top:

To start, click “Add Subscription” in the upper right:

On the next page, fill out all the fields with the details of the subscription:

Choose the category:

Let’s say you choose WINE. You can then either pick your own image to add (1920x1080px), or choose one from the library that makes sense for the subscription. In this example, wine:

After that, enter the “Billing day of the Month.” This will be when all customers get billed, not the day they signed up. In this case, customers will be billed on the 15th of every month:

For Fulfillment Options, there are three options (some may not apply to all stores); Pickup, Delivery, or Shipping. Stores can pick one or multiple options and the customer will then be able to pick which one they want. These can be applied to one or multiple locations, if applicable.

If Delivery and/or Shipping is selected, there will be an option to add Fees and Taxes:

Below that, the store can create custom zones (Delivery and/or Shipping) that exclusively apply to Subscriptions.

NOTE: If there are no zones added to map part, it will default to the store’s zones previously set up in the “My Account” tab.

Once completed, click NEXT. This is where you set up the Subscription Tiers:

The store, for example, may choose to name this tier “Two White Wines” and then provide a description the next box. After that, choose or upload an image.

Then, the store must select how the tier works by choosing the TERM and PRICE:

In the example above, you will see Quantity is TWO because this subscription is for TWO WHITE WINES.

  • TERM: Choose any or all of the options customers can select from for the length of their subscription.

  • PRICE: Choose the price of each one. So, if a customer chooses “Monthly,” they would receive their two white wines every month and pay $30. If a customer chooses every 3 months, that would be 6 bottles, and so on. The customer is essentially paying for 3 months in advance.

  • NOTE: It’s common to reduce the price for longer terms, so rather than paying $90 every 3 months, the store may choose to lower the price to $80, for example. Same principle applies for even longer terms.

  • GIFT AVAILABLE: by selecting “Yes,” this means a customer can choose to gift this subscription to someone else and the person receiving the gift would not see the price.

Next, the store can choose the category, if they so choose, as long as the number of bottles does not exceed the amount originally selected for that tier. In our example, we said TWO bottles of white wine, so only two can be selected from this section:

If the subscription is set up in the way shown above, the customer will not know what bottles they will be getting. It will be up to the store to choose. However, there is another option where the store can add products to a list and the customer can choose two bottles from there:

Once everything is set up, click ADD TIER at the bottom. On the next page, the store must click SAVE to make these subscriptions available:

After hitting the save button, customers will then be able to click the SUBSCRIPTIONS tab at the top of store websites (or on the side menu of apps) and then select which club they want to be a part of:

From there, customers can then choose from the options that were setup by the store and click SUBSCRIBE:

Once the customer clicks SUBSCRIBE, it will navigate them to a different checkout screen than the normal one. (note - no other products can be added to a subscription):
