Shipday Tutorial

Shipday Tutorial

Shipday is a delivery management software platform designed to help small businesses (like alcohol retailers) manage their local delivery operations efficiently. It provides tools to streamline the process of receiving, dispatching, and tracking delivery orders, whether using a business’s own drivers or third-party delivery services.

In this guide, we will demonstrate how it works with your Bottlecapps app and/or website.

Note: You likely already have a Shipday account, but if not, you will need to create one before getting started.

First, login (Login Screen):

After logging in, click “Integrations” in the upper right corner:

From this page, click “API Credentials” on the left and then click “Show API Key” as shown below. Then COPY that key and email it to help@bottlecapps.com and provide your exact store name:

On that same page, scroll down and you will see “Webhook Setup.” Click “Add API Link” and input the following link here:

Once setup, here’s how Shipday will work. When a DELIVERY order comes in, open the order in your Webconsole (in the orders tab) by clicking the blue Order Number:

Then, scroll down and lick “Update Status to Scheduled for Delivery. This will send the order over to Shipday:

Next, open your Shipday Dashboard and click Dispatch. Find the order you just scheduled for delivery and you can then assign the driver:

NOTE: Before assigning drivers, drivers must be added. To do this, click the phone icon in the upper right:

Drivers can scan the QR code or you can send them the link:

Then, select the driver:

From the Driver App, drivers can then accept or decline the delivery:

The delivery driver will then be able to update the status of the order(s):

Once delivered, the delivery driver will get then be prompted to get proof of delivery via a photo of the delivered item(s) and a signature:

NOTE: to enable Proof of Delivery as a requirement for your drivers (as well as other settings), click settings, then Driver Settings:

Meanwhile, all orders can be tracked from the Shipday Dashboard. It will show, for example, when a delivery has started, been picked up, is on the way, or completed:

Once an order has been delivered, you will see that the order has been updated to DELIVERED in your Webconsole:

INTERNAL USE ONLY:

Our team will select Shipday as your Delivery Provider and input the API Key you sent to help@bottlecapps.com into the backend for your store:
